Little Star Pizza Restaurant Review:
As any pizza connoisseur can attest, it's all about the crust. The thin-crust pies at this Western Addition joint have just-right blistering, while the light, buttery cornmeal crust on a deep dish pie magically remains crispy yet moist. You'll find only premium toppings---seasonal produce and artisan meats that elevate even a basic pie. Try the namesake deep dish, a creamy blend of ricotta, feta, spinach, mushrooms, sweet onions and a kick of garlic. The mixed salad with Gorgonzola and walnuts has a commendable vinaigrette, and the meaty chicken wings with a feisty dry rub are sheer bliss. The dimly lit space is chic and minimalist, and the wine list features many bottles hailing from the legendary wine importer Kermit Lynch.
