This Flatiron District spot may have lost its focus somewhat since the early days, when it was the best and only upscale soul food joint around: Now lunch features Asian stir-fries and other anomalies. At dinner, however, the Caribbean and Southern dishes that made Lola’s name take center stage. And the gospel brunch (the ideal way to drink yourself silly on a Sunday morning) remains wildly popular.
