Lopez Bar & Grille Restaurant Review:

Lopez Bar & Grille’s eccentric charms complement its creative menu. Small dishes range from goat cheese fundido to shrimp ‘n’ grits served with chiles and smoked Gouda. The taco bar has much to offer; we like the pulled-pork carnitas taco as well as the smoked trout variation with a bright and spicy jícama slaw. A number of enchiladas and quesadillas and a handful of other options are featured among the “entreros.” Try the mezcal chicken atop corn pudding, or the lobster enchiladas served with a spicy chipotle sauce. Choose from a solid selection of homemade desserts and an array of top-shelf tequilas, too. Sunday through Thursday, before 7 p.m., the aforementioned tequila selection is half price, and this includes margaritas --- from strawberry and coconut to banana and blood orange. During summer months, the patio is packed with Cleveland Heights' prettiest people.
