L’Osteria di Santa Marina Restaurant Review:
The centuries-old farmers market of Santa Marina is literally on L’Osteria di Santa Marina’s doorstep, and the chef has his first pick of fruits and vegetables and seafood straight in from the lagoon. The restaurant’s interior is cozy with lots of wood, books and bottles. When the weather allows, reserve a candlelit table in the romantic courtyard, called the “campiello.” From the extensive array of antipasti, try the “saor” (raw fish), which is a classic Venetian option. All pasta is homemade, and you can expect a broad choice of fresh seafood. The dessert lineup is determined daily, and there will always be something appealing. We recommend the very reasonable tasting menu of local dishes that vary by season. The wine list proposes the best of regional wines and a good selection of international labels.
