THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Machu Picchu Restaurant Review:
Taking the metro area by storm, Peruvian restaurants are slowly replacing Salvadoran and Caribbean as the ethnic cuisine most likely to succeed here. We have found numerous examples, and of these, feel that this Falls Church eatery rates some special notice. Best bets are the chicharron de cerdo al plato (just for pork lovers) and the awesome ceviche mixto and chupe de camarones. We were also impressed with the seco de carne a la huachana, or cilantro-flavored stew. Management throws patrons a curve ball with its odd selection of Italian-style pasta and Mexican-inspired standbys. It's almost as if they fear no one will grasp the Peruvian message. We do, and recommend this destination as a must. Stick to the native fare and forget the experiments with other cuisines.
