Mackinaws Grill & Spirits Restaurant Review:
The setting is sleekly Northwoods with six large stone fireplaces, massive pine log walls, vaulted beamed ceilings and mounts of wildlife from the owner’s collection. The emphasis is on fun with live entertainment as well as nightly specials in the Cabin Bar, a real log cabin surrounded by the dining area. The menu offers plenty of Wisconsin favorites, including cheese curds served over a bed of fries (don’t even think about the calories) and Mexican fare like nachos and quesadillas. Of course, you'll find all-American burgers, ribs and steaks too. Mackinaws also is known for its perch dinners. Friday and Saturday nights starting at 7:30 p.m. there’s music by local and regional bands performing on the custom built stage.
