Everything at this supper club-cum nightclub, a veritable temple of surf and turf, is thick: the steaks and lobster, the salad dressings, the potatoes---even the cigar smoke that hangs over the bar. Magnum’s dishes up meat and potatoes for the big boys---the power rangers of politics, the heavy hitters who hang out in offices on high. Stay with the steaks and the lobster and you will fare well. It’s all expensive, but the lusty side dishes easily serve two. Desserts are a drag; save the calories and the bucks.
