Malibu roadhouse with a rock n' roll vibe and good food.

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Malibu Inn Restaurant Review:
On the Pacific Coast Highway just across from the Malibu Pier sits The Malibu Inn, a notorious establishment since the 1920s that's hosted legendary performers like Eric Clapton and Tom Petty. The current owners are keeping the rock n' roll saloon vibe and striving to serve up good food as well. Consulting chef (and "Top Chef" alum) Angelo Sosa has created a menu that starts off with cocoa-rubbed short ribs with mole barbecue sauce and seafood-focused appetizers like California coast mussels in fennel and garlic broth. A few breakfast items are served all day, such as the Malibu Omelet that's filled with tomatoes, onions, spinach and bacon, and comes with tater tots. Sandwiches, burgers and larger mains such as grilled swordfish and New York strip steak round out the offerings. There's a short wine list, plus draft beers (by the pint or growler) and specialty cocktails.
