THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Manhattan Ocean Club Restaurant Review:
Many people forget about this Midtown standby in favor of glitzy new rooms with a trendy clientele. However, chef Craig Koketsu has brought his influence to the menu and The Manhattan Ocean Club is once again the place for fresh fish. Start with seared yellowfin tuna, fresh oysters and clams or crab in season. The menu presents a daily selection of fresh fish prepared on the plancha with a choice of sauce. We enjoy the wild king salmon with ginger-scallion hollandaise. Other varieties such as loup de mer are whole roasted. The two-level dining room is pleasant with flattering lighting, comfortable seating and attractively appointed table settings. The computerized wine list contains numerous notable California and French labels.
