The dimly lit interior of this bar and restaurant features a labyrinthine layout, red banquettes and bar stools and a well-stocked bar---all lending a 1940s film noir feel. The menu ranges from Greek fare (saganaki, moussaka, dolmades) and large entrée-size salads to huge sandwiches (served on bread or pita) as well as burgers and pizzas, too. Daily specials are homier than basic bar food and include walleye---this is Cleveland, after all---pork tenderloin and meatloaf, to name a few. During lunch and dinner, you’ll rub elbows with Plain Dealer reporters, cops, tradesmen, lawyers and bankers. Thursday through Saturday, Mardi Gras serves up hot jazz and good food into the wee hours.
