At Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, the raison d’être is steak. Choose from options such as A5 Wagyu sirloin, rib-eye and Châteaubriand to share. The meat is brought to you at the table in its raw state, then cooked as you order it. It comes with different sauces and side dishes. You can start with the likes of Buffalo chicken wings or go all coy and order fish exclusively. But you’ll miss the point if you do. The wine list is significantly impressive, though the mark-ups are similarly significant and starting with a cocktail can also push the bill up. The room is pretty with lots of wood and light windows, but any of the down-home style of New York steakhouses is missing. The staff are charming; the experience is a good one.
