THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Meadow Lark Inn Restaurant Review:
Your great-grandparents would probably feel right at home in this restaurant that harkens back to an earlier, more tranquil America. Once in the middle of Maryland farmland, the inn sits on the roadside today, and it does have a local history---read the story on the menu. The menu reflects a staid approach to cooking, minus any downtown flourishes. Its farm home cooking, with fresh fruit cup or bacon-wrapped scallops to start, then veal Parmigiano with ziti, broiled lamb chops or roast turkey as entrées. The flashiest dish may be the twin crab cakes with tartar sauce. Desserts include a brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce, cheesecake and apple cobbler with ice cream.
