Andrea Restaurant Review:

Andrea is the signature restaurant at the luxe The Resort at Pelican Hill. And while everything here is top-of-the-line, Andrea still has a casual feel, with golden lighting, cozy banquettes and an outdoor terrace with soaring Pacific Ocean views --- the perfect setting to sip a house-made cocktail or a glass of wine from the long by-the-glass list. We recommend starting off with the smoky Brussels sprouts and prosciutto plate augmented by Parmesan and pomegranate seeds. Next, enjoy an offering featuring the homemade pasta, perhaps the cavatelli with sage sausage. Barrel-aged forest mushroom risotto is served tableside. Flavorful mains such as the grilled Dover sole deftly walk the fine line that separates delicate and hearty. This leaves plenty of room for sides like polenta, which is so creamy it could nearly pass as dessert. At meal’s end, go for the artisanal cheese plate with thoughtfully selected accoutrements or the daily hand-churned ice creams and gelatos.
