Bamian Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Large-as-a-barn and gussied up like a deb ready for a coming-out party, Bamian has cloth-covered tables, pretty cutlery and upscale décor, making this a suitable place for any ladies’ lunch. If you are at all familiar with this cuisine, you’ll know that it enfolds several dumpling-type dishes as well as a host of kebabs. Lamb is a favored Afghani meat, and here you can’t go wrong with an order of grilled lamb ribs, and add to that the pumpkin-based kadu chalau, and an appetizer of the steamed dumplings. Any of the kebabs will please, and if you prefer an all-vegetable meal, check out the vegetarian offerings. For dessert, a must is the cornstarch pudding. Live music most nights provides the entertainment backdrop.
