This East Side restaurant’s interior boasts exposed woodwork, a large fireplace, quaint antiques and high-walled booths. Pulled pork nachos set the tone for what is to come: tasty, down-to-earth American fare. The salmon cake is served with a bacon and sun-dried tomato salad that’s both rich and flavorful, while the flaky, crispy fried lake perch is complemented by rémoulade. Filet, salmon and roast turkey are other winners. Sunday brunch is not to be missed and geared toward the whole family. For dessert, get the light, classic cheesecake.
