El Cholo Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant & décor: This Anaheim Hills offshoot of the Los Angeles-based mini-chain has the look and feel of a multi-location Mexican eatery. There are rich earth tones, Latin American-infused décor and intimate lighting.
Food & Drinks: The menu traces back to the culinary traditions that were set in place by the Borquez family in the 1920s. All the standard and expected items are present: tamales, enchiladas and burritos, along with combo plates and classic mains like carne asada and carnitas. You'll be able to round out a meal by indulging in one of the margaritas, which tend to be a bit on the potent side.
