The Carmel Mission Inn’s chic little lounge sports a bamboo floor, see-through stone fireplace, low-slung chairs to slouch into and an unassuming ranch-style retro design. The atmosphere projects a hip, modest vibe and prices are right. Happy hour flows seamlessly into dinner with a good selection of California and American classics. On Fridays and Saturdays, the dining area sometimes morphs into a dance floor.
