A neo-traditional fish house with extensive wine and beer lists.
Hayes Street Grill Restaurant Review:
Visitors to the Bay Area may think they have to go to the Wharf for seafood, but this restaurant does a fine job. A daily menu offers about a dozen fresh fish and a handful of sauces. Or you can choose from one of the meat specials, including a first-rate burger. Our pick of the traditional desserts---when it's in season---is the homey peach shortcake with strawberry sauce. The wine and beer lists are extensive.
