With jellyfish-shaped chandeliers, chair-backs fashioned like mermaid fins and a wooden mermaid overlooking a 14-seat bar backed by a jellyfish tank, this dimly lit lounge evokes an undersea fantasy. A curved counter for wining and dining faces the Silverton’s 117,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, in which 4,000 tropical fish reside. Seafood presentations include fish tacos with pickled cabbage and tomatoes served with pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole; fried calamari with a duet of lemon-caper aïoli and marinara sauce; and the simple fish ‘n’ chips complemented by pungent malt vinegar and tartar sauce. Landlubbers enjoy the all-American sliders with cheese and grilled onion; and the barbecued pulled pork topped with coleslaw. Save room for the sweet potato pecan pie, West Texas brownie and specialty coffees.
