Sophabella’s Chicago Grill Restaurant Review:
Family-owned and -operated Sophabella’s sizzles. Not only is this one of the best Italian places in the metro area, it's also a favorite brunch location for locals. Explore the homemade specialties like manicotti, lasagna, and the Tuscan tortellini with grilled chicken, artichoke hearts, pepperoni, black olives and sun-dried tomatoes, topped with a Chablis light garlic cream sauce. Dinner could include grilled lamb chops or filet au poivre dressed with a Cognac demi-glace. Remember to check out the tempting signature pizza menu, which boasts Chicago-style deep-dish pies, cracker-thin crusts, and hand-tossed varieties. On Saturdays and Sundays, the brunch menu adopts some morning favorites like chicken-fried steak, breakfast quesadillas, eggs Benedict and french toast. Flirtini Fridays feature more than 25 specialty martinis beginning at 4 p.m., and the wine list complements the cooking at most any time of day.
