Since 1962, The Stage Deli has fed the Detroit metro area’s need for quality, traditional deli foods at this three-generation family business. Come for the classic soda fountain drinks, such as egg creams and phosphates, a root beer float or Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The varied menu includes signature items like the Mark Beltaire salad and a mean Reuben sandwich, as well as more contemporary creations that include inventive pancakes. House-made desserts include apple strudel, carrot cake, cinnamon raisin babka, sour cream coffee cake and rice pudding. Also look for imported goodies like rugelach with a variety of fillings (raspberry, apricot and chocolate, marble halvah) and New York-style cheesecake with cherry, blueberry or strawberry topping.
