Vero Amore Restaurant Review:

The pizza at Vero Amore is unlike any other in town. It brings together soft dough with a sight char from the 800-degree ovens, sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes and house-made mozzarella. Some pies, like the margherita, are simple, while others, including the Pizza Anima, topped with andouille sausage, smoked mozzarella and Parmesan, are a bit more creative. For an appetizer, try the mussels with a choice of white wine and marinara sauce or the spicy Fra Diavolo, which guarantees a kick. The menu has expanded to include pasta dishes, seafood, steak and an assortment of chicken selections, like the chicken mimosa with spinach, artichoke hearts, prosciutto and chicken breast in a Champagne cream sauce. The wine list is well-thought-out and reasonably priced. There are two Vero Amore locations, so people in midtown and in the far northwest can enjoy the flavors of Italy right in their neighborhood.
