Connected to the Green Parrot---a renowned and loveably rough bar---is Meteor, where the plastic gingham padded baskets overflowing with smokin' barbecue are not to be believed. Come on down for the perfect Key West hangover cures (just before nap time, which is just before Happy Hour), or any time before last call at 4 a.m. Sample the juicy pulled-pork platter, the Texas brisket sandwich or go straight for a heaping pile of barbecued ribs and chicken. Side dishes are definitely not second fiddle here, with everything from ultra addictive “Minnie Lee’s green beans” (they’ve got a spicy kick) to coleslaw and potato salad done right: the barbecue way.
