THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Miss Millie's Restaurant Review:
Sometime ago, Miss Millie's shifted away from being a knock-out, neighborhood brunch-and-breakfast joint to a Noe Valley dinner spot as well. Brunch still requires waiting for one of the coveted tables and an obligatory cinnamon roll. How could anyone deny that gingerbread waffles with pear compote, numerous and varied scrambles, or Niman Ranch--beef hash and poached eggs all make an alluring invitation? And now diners can enjoy the big, comfy booths, homey décor and comfort food--inspired menu in the evening. The macaroni-and-cheese combines the forces of white cheddar, Fontina and Parmesan into an elevated pasta dish. Chicken potpie, with its flaky, buttermilk biscuit crust gives both the pork loin with caramelized apples and the braised beef stew a run for their money. Just remember to save room for ice cream and pie.
