THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Momoyama’s Restaurant Review:
The transition was years ago, but Momoyama’s continues to live under the shadow of its former ownership, when it was Yoshi’s. With many more sushi restaurants available, Momoyama’s is no longer the destination spot worth a long drive to West County, but it still has a solid track record as a lunchtime restaurant to grab a quick bite in a bento box, and the nigiri continues to be solidly fresh and of high quality. In keeping with local trends, there are plenty of specialty rolls on the menu, which range in degree of authenticity from classic, simple futomaki to the Hell Hot Roll, a conversation-starter served with a flame in the middle of the plate. You can put out the fire with Japanese beers or saké. Service can be haphazard when the place is full, but the wait is always worthwhile.
