THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mustache Pete's Restaurant Review:
This cozy restaurant is nothing fancy compared to big city Italian spots, but it rarely disappoints when it comes to hearty fare. The portions are generous, and the sprawling menu offers something for everyone. Pizzas and make-your-own panini are popular, as are classics such as fettuccine Alfredo and veal piccata, but be sure to check out the specials board for creations such as lemon shrimp scampi on mint-flecked orzo, pan-seared scallops with Parmesan polenta, or an “eggplant Napoleon”---three thick slices of eggplant stacked atop each other and served with marinara and mushrooms. Desserts include characteristic Italian offerings such as cheesecake, cannolis and spumoni. The wine list isn’t huge, but is more than adequate and offers nine by-the-glass selections, and the 10-plus beers on tap include the Italian lager Birra Moretti. Lunch is very casual and served in the downstairs bar area, dinner is served upstairs in the still casual but a bit more formal dining room.
