Napa Cafe Restaurant Review:

Chef Rick Saviori adds a fresh spin to contemporary Southern cuisine at Napa Café, and the staff at this cozy bistro is prepared to help patrons pair wines with any dish. Drizzled with garlic oil, the white bean hummus with grilled pita bread or the beef short rib sliders, anointed with bacon aïoli, make fine starters. Entrées include standard fare such as filet mignon, free-range chicken breast with ricotta gnocchi, and shrimp and grits gussied up with smoked mozzarella, spinach, bell pepper, red onion and pancetta. Stop in on a weekday for lunch and order the single-serving bento box filled with fish, a salad, a vegetable side, a small sweet treat, and raw nuts (boxes can be made vegetarian on request). In keeping with traditional regional Southern tastes, the sweet buttermilk pie makes an appropriate dessert. The wine list features mostly California selections but also a few from France and Australia. Ask about wine-focused dinners and events.
