Nibbler Peruvian Restaurant Review:
We love this tiny place, as much for its imaginatively painted interior (looks like a Peruvian countryside scene) as for its original menu. There is a good selection of dishes. Whatever else you select, be sure to sample the llapingachos, an appetizer of fried mashed potato cakes filled with melted cheese, and the unusual papa a la huncaina (steamed potatoes submerged in a cheese sauce). For a main course, try the chupe, the national dish of Peru, a savory stew of seafood and potatoes. We also recommend the lomo saltado, a stew of shredded flank steak cooked with tomatoes and seasonings. End your meal with something sweet, such as the irresistible banana tres leches, a dish of custard cream and bananas with a sponge cake.
