THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Nizam's Restaurant Review:
No wonder this cheerily decorated spot has gained a name not only for its excellent food, but for its impressive staff: The servers are particularly helpful for those who are new to Turkish cuisine. If that describes you, perhaps the best way to get a handle on it is to start with an appetizer platter: The stuffed grape leaves and fried eggplant with yogurt sauce alone are worthy of a princes table. A house special is the doner kebab (not available every night). Its praiseworthy, but if unavailable, consider the lamb shank instead, a mildly seasoned dish topped with eggplant, tomatoes and green peppers. For dessert, we recommend a mixed plate for two, which includes an outstanding baklava and kazandibi, another rich pastry.
