No. 5 Restaurant Review:
The classical facade of this townhouse in Cavendish Square, just north of Oxford Street, gives no hint of the lavish décor inside, particularly in the restaurant on the first floor where the dark red walls and the chairs give the impression of a stately home. Have a drink in the bar first and if it's summer, try to book a table by the window for the views over the square. The predominantly Italian menu is long, including the likes of simple Parma ham with roasted peppers and mozzarella, or tuna tartare with salmon roe and oysters for starters. Pastas and main dishes include herb halibut with artichoke confit and roasted duck leg with celeriac, prosecco and peach sauce. The atmosphere borders on the decadent but definitely enjoyable side.
