THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Omni Houston is a beautiful hotel in its own right, but the chef-driven restaurant has a charm all its own: an open-air ambience and a locavore menu that turns out everything from an heirloom tomato salad to a double pork chop. Additional seasonal offerings include the butternut squash soup and tempura-fried green tomatoes, an interesting take on a Southern staple. There are usually chicken-fried gulf oysters and Asian pork belly tacos for lighter appetites. Meanwhile, if you're really hungry, the 16-ounce grilled rib-eye plated with Wood Duck Farms’ roasted root veggies should do the trick. A full bar and an impressive wine list add to the experience.
