Noodles Restaurant Review:
This marble-tile-floored restaurant features modern ceiling lamps emitting a golden glow, straw mats adorning the walls, back-lit glass jars full of noodles, friendly service and traditional cuisine with imaginative touches. The best things to eat here are Chinese dumplings, barbecued meats and poultry, rice dishes and, of course, noodles every which way. Dim sum is as good as anything you'll find in San Francisco's Chinatown, though you’ll pay a lot more here. We like the Cantonese roast barbecue duck with roasted plum sauce; the Chilean sea bass with Nonya curry sauce, bell peppers and onions; and the pad thai with chicken, shrimp, beef or barbecued pork. Chilled lychees with almond bean curd are among sweet temptations. Thai iced tea, fruit juices, hot teas, beers and sakés nicely complement the cuisine. The wine list includes ports and Sauternes; among cocktail specialties are the Mandarin margarita created with Herradura Silver, Grand Marnier, fresh lime, fresh orange juice and agave nectar.
