THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED O.T. Hodge Chile Parlor Restaurant Review:
Night owls with iron stomachs rely heavily on this last remaining outpost of St. Louis’ old-fashioned chile parlor. It's the home of the Slinger, composed of two cheeseburger patties, American fries and an egg, all covered with chile, just the thing to cap off a long night of merrymaking as the sun comes up. There's a menu to help with translations of Double Mac and One Straight (large spaghetti with chile and small chile without beans, respectively). Chile is the real thing, although not fiery-hot. Breakfast is available, too, and occasionally you’ll find Mom-style desserts like blackberry cobbler of variable quality. This isn't fabulous food, just decent, basic stuff that theme restaurants try to imitate.
