THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Olives Restaurant Review:
A spin-off of chef Todd English’s famous Charlestown, Mass., restaurant (which now also has branches in New York and Las Vegas), Olives attracts well-heeled crowds who pack into its clubby, well-appointed dining areas. Taken singly, items are praiseworthy, even elegant. A number of dishes have become our favorites. Unfortunately, however, the menu undergoes regular face-lifts, so don’t get too attached to any one thing. We like the fork-tender beef brisket with blue cheese and onion jam layered on an English muffin, but it has vanished. But the grilled rib-eye of beef with Parmesan frites is also a good choice. Don’t show up without reservations or you may wait for hours for one of the seats in this establishment.
