THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Onda Ristorante Restaurant Review:
Onda’s warm welcome includes its wine lounge, a relaxing bar featuring wines by the glass, artisanal charcuterie and cheeses. Head further into the space for the "ristorante," where guests can enjoy traditional casual, yet upscale Italian fare. Among appetizers, we like the tasting of three mozzarellas: burrata, smoked and house-stretched, each served with a different, fruity extra virgin olive oil. Grilled flatbreads are rustic, topped with favorites such as prosciutto, salami and fried sage. We like the pastas here, including the veal cheek agnolotti and the ziti with hearty bolognese sauce. More substantial entrées include the sustainably-sourced salmon treated saltimbocca-style, accompanied with Tuscan beans and lemon butter. Among sweet temptations is the lemon-raspberry cheesecake, Sambuca espresso ice cream with pizelle cookies and dark chocolate or Grand Marnier soufflés. Onda welcomes children five and over. On nights the restaurant is closed for dinner, the wine lounge remains open, offering half-priced bottles of wine. On Fridays, Onda Wine Lounge features a free wine tasting between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
