THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Opus Restaurant Review:
The Lentini brothers know something about Italian cuisine. Their third trattoria on the Upper East Side brings the neighborhood a wide menu of Italian favorites from pizzas to pasta, seafood and meat dishes. The difference here is that those suffering from celiac disease have wide-ranging choices including dishes such as scallops and polenta in a shiitake sauce, penne with rabbit with light tomato sauce, and galletto diavolo (pan-roasted Cornish hen). Twelve-inch pizzas can be prepared dairy-free (and will eventually be available gluten-free too). Gluten-free penne and spaghetti come directly from Italy. Brother Enzo has concocted a fun menu of more than a dozen martinis. Gluten-free zabaglione over fresh berries is served with a homemade limoncello digestif by the very attentive staff.
