THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Oriel Restaurant Review:

The position couldn't be better; Oriel is right beside the Royal Court Theatre and fronts onto Sloane Square, opposite Peter Jones, the department store for posh locals. Tables spill onto the pavement in summer, while inside it's packed almost all the time. A refurbishment left it as it was before. Wooden floors, tables and chairs, newspapers to read, formally clad waiters. Here you have the archetypal Parisian brasserie. The food is as you'd expect: French onion soup, terrines, salads, steak and chips. It's not particularly well cooked, but it's reliable; the atmosphere is good and you do feel this is a small corner of Paris.
