Osaka Sushi & Thai Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Inside, the restaurant looks basic and bare bones, but it’s flanked on the south end by a curving sushi bar and there are private booths along another wall. The covered deck area is nice and shady, and offers perhaps the best seating. (This venue moved from a beach location.) The menu is full of options, especially among a long list of Specialty Rolls, many with cutesy names that make for fun reading: Brit’s Volcano (fried shrimp and avocado with baked crab stick mango sauce and scallions); Fat Bastard #1 (tuna, salmon, escolar, yellow tail, cucumber, scallion, fish egg and spicy mango topped with tempura); Master of Disaster (salmon, tuna, escolar, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese and white radish finished with crawfish, spicy mango, scallion and fish egg and served with sauce on the side). Thai choices range from teriyaki chicken, beef or salmon to chicken and vegetable tempura. Desserts are limited mostly to standard ice cream flavors and, of course, fortune cookies.
