Osteria Da Fiore is a small establishment located next to a canal. Make early reservations if you want to secure the only outdoor table (maximum two people), which is situated on the balcony over the canal. Chef Mara Martin was influenced by her grandmother, who was a chef in Mirano. Traditional dishes in a lighter version are a specialty of Da Fiore, and the kitchen utilizes seasonal vegetables and fruits. As a primo, consider the risotto, then try the bass in balsamic vinegar. Raw fish for the antipasti is fresh from the lagoon every morning. Finish the meal with lemon-licorice sorbet. Grappa's, whiskies and Cognacs are available, as are French and Italian wines.
