THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED P.J. Clarke's New York Chophouse Restaurant Review:
The well-known P.J. Clarke’s brand has brought a piece of New York to Las Vegas. The original watering hole was founded in 1884, and the Vegas version is its first location in the West. The centerpiece is the majestic mahogany Phoenix bar that was imported from the Rothschild’s estate in Bordeaux. The décor is enhanced by hardwood floors, red-checkered tablecloths, and a mix of nostalgic old photos of vintage Vegas and those of celebrities that have dined at P.J. Clarke’s. A good starter is the crisp Parmesan tater tots, reminiscent of deep-fried mashed potato. A raw bar features East and West Coast oysters, Long Island cherrystone clams, jumbo shrimp, lump crab and lobster. P.J. Clarke’s is famous for its burgers, but we also like the hormones- and antibiotics-free USDA Prime Angus bone-in New York strip. Finish with the warm bread pudding, accented by cherries and served with a side of bourbon cream sauce. Old-school bartenders prepare classic cocktails, and there are more than 30 beers.
