Palmer's Village Cafe Restaurant Review:
Palmer's Village Café is a gem in many respects. Laden with work by local artists, it's colorful, dynamic and comfortable for families. Situated in the heart of this beach resort town, the restaurant offers a singularly distinctive breakfast menu. While you can build your own breakfast biscuit to go, stay a while and have the Southern, a dish of poached eggs over collard greens and ham, with a biscuit and pot likker for embellishment. This riff on the Benedict has an authenticity all its own. Go sweet on another visit and have the banana pudding cakes or the challah bread french toast with warm maple syrup. Lunch brings homemade soups, chicken salad and liver 'n' onions --- all home-style. Coffee is first-rate, and fair-trade, of course.
