Panjshir Restaurant Review:
This longtime Afghan restaurant has a loyal following of business folk and suburbanites for lunch and dinner. Worthy dishes include the Afghan noodle soup, aush, and the seib chalow, apples baked in tomato sauce with Afghan prunes. You may find some interesting kebabs (though the shami kebab is quite plain) and hearty vegetarian fare. Desserts include firnee (pudding) in both plain and chocolate flavors, as well as baklava.
