Pattaya is situated in the farthest reaches of a shopping center, with little nearby activity at night and no signs to lead the way. We recommend the stir-fried catfish, an evening special, but lament that the crispy duck is sodden and the fried fish cakes are overcooked. There are numerous choices from appetizers and Thai salads, to noodle and rice dishes, and assorted curries. A Thai version of Japanese sukiyaki is available, too. Dessert options are limited, but include the traditional mango and sticky rice, and sticky rice with Thai custard.
