Lalime's serves California-inspired Mediterranean fare to a loyal following in a warm, two-level dining room in an out-of-the-way residential neighborhood. (You'd never find it if you weren't looking for it.) Occasional prix-fixe menus, such as Thursday’s seafood, are a good value, but the à la carte offerings are also worthy. Look for a light end-of-season grilled tomato soup with garlic toast or a thin-crusted pizzetta with artichoke hearts and rock shrimp --- or whatever is organic, sustainable and in-season --- from the day's menu. You'll find eclectic entrées such as baby-back ribs, duck confit and a couple of fish dishes. Finish with a warm peach-blackberry galette or butterscotch crème brûlée. Chef Anthony Paone (T-Rex, Sea Salt) took over the kitchen as the restaurant celebrated 30 years in 2015. The wine list goes well with this worldly menu.
