Trendy trattoria occupying the four floors of a pink-hued building.
Pink Mamma Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant & décor: This trendy trattoria belongs to the Big Mamma group that owns several Italian restaurants in Paris, including East Mamma and Mamma Primi. This one occupies a whole building decked out with a pink façade, i.e. four dining rooms, one on each floor, with a specific décor. The one on the top floor turns out to be the most impressive, strewn with plants under a massive glass roof.
Likes: The beef cuts; the vast array of Italian wines; the glass roof.
Dislikes: The impossibility of booking a table.
Food & Drinks: First-rate ingredients such as Italian cheese and ham, meat, salads, pastas and pizzas come at very affordable prices. For a starter, we recommend the San Daniele ham with Parmesan and the “arancini,” fried rice balls stuffed with sausage and served with tomatoes, smoked mozzarella and parsley. Different steaks are also suggested, like the tasty “Rocco’s cut,” a flank steak with roasted potatoes and chimichurri sauce, the “Fiorentina” T-bone steak and the one pound “Tomahawk” rib steak. The Italian sundae with gianduja ice cream, brownie and raspberries makes a fine finale. Great wine list focused on Italy, with a hundred offerings.
