THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Pleasant Peasant Restaurant Review:
Located in an industrial dead zone near the airport, The Pleasant Pheasant is a welcoming and cheerful café, owned by Laurent and Lisa Ferre. Born in France, they bring authenticity to the restaurant. Known mostly for a lunch crowd and its reasonably-priced dinners, this quasi-French bistro serves up topnotch French country cuisine along with rather good American-style dishes. Chef Ferre, who trained with the legendary chef Alain Chapel, adds little touches of inspiration, which distinguish many of his rustic dishes. For example, a tender lamb shank à la chef Chapel is cooked in a well-rendered veal stock and served with a side of tasty vegetables brunoises. Other Ferre favorites include a goat cheese salad with walnut dressing, smoked salmon Laurent and delightful strawberries Melba.
