PNY Restaurant Review:
From the street, it’s difficult not to see the canopy for PNY (Paris New York), with its black letters standing out on a white background. Inside, the dining room is evocative of a cafeteria, illuminated by a multitude of lightbulbs from the ceiling, and with buzzy animation. On the menu, you won’t find any appetizers, but there are six burgers, most of them made with dry-aged beef. Morning California comes with avocado and nine-month-aged cheddar; the Smoky Blue with English Stilton blue cheese and smoked breast; and the Atomic with stewed portobello mushroom. Accompanied with fine and crusty french fries, these sandwiches are a sure bet, thanks to the tasty bun and the lightly braised meat. Finish with a hearty cheesecake complemented by raspberry coulis. Match the fare with a beer or a Diamond Collection wine from Francis Ford Coppola Winery.
