THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Posta Tuscan Grille Restaurant Review:
This hotel restaurant’s Italian fare includes thin-crust pizzas with simple toppings that make a most attractive lunch or light supper; the margherita is classic, with buffalo milk mozzarella, fresh basil and rich ripe tomato sauce. Pastas may be ordered in appetizer portions; we like the snap of the fresh peas in the gemelli all Fiorentina, a dish that combines prosciutto and fresh cream. Mains are meat-centric: filet mignon, Prime beef rib-eye steak. For dessert, the panna cotta is nicely set under a napping of berry sauce---an Italian classic. The wine list is heavily Italian, with an emphasis on the Super Tuscan category; some notable California labels also are among the offerings. Staying for breakfast? There's an Italian version of eggs Benedict with prosciutto, and a wide variety of Southern tastes as well as Italian ones, with house-made veal sausages. The sausages appear again in sliders that grace the ample bar menu for late-night and light fare.
