THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS P’tit Louis Bistro Restaurant Review:
Zinc bartop, check; Art Nouveau-era fixtures and vintage artwork, check; waiters clad in trim white and black, check --- this downtown lunch spot looks every bit the classic Parisian bistro. That’s because it is. The tightly focused menu features salads, sandwiches, mussels, cheese and charcuterie plates, a couple of daily specials and dessert --- all handled with panache. As simple as they are, baguettes slathered with butter and sliced Camembert or jambon are things of beauty, while moules piquantes steamed in chile-spiked white wine put a subtle local flourish on a Français mainstay. And while New Mexicans are used to their pork parts, the likes of goose liver, rabbit and herring invite them to think outside the pig. Pair your offerings with a carafe of house wine, followed by comme-il-faut lemon tart. And do it on your day off, so you can make a leisurely afternoon of the charming experience.
