Punch Bowl Social Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant and décor: Chic Fulton Market marks the spot for the Chicago outpost of the chain whose culinary efforts are led by Top Chef judge Hugh Acheson. Reflecting the industrial feel of the neighborhood, this behemoth is 30,000 square feet. Look for funky touches such as the wall of washers and dryers on the first floor, the wall “Scrabble” in a private room, and the virtual reality game room near the restrooms upstairs.
Likes: Lots of gaming options and fun cocktails.
Dislikes: None.
Food & Drinks: “Eatertainment” is the force behind this gaming lounge and restaurant that teases with a bocce court, private karaoke rooms, bowling, VR and numerous TVs for catching the game du jour. Diners might enjoy scratch kitchen bites --- OMFG GF Southern Fried Chicken, Monkey Bread French Toast and Lobster Bacon Fries --- or head straight to the drinks. Punch, naturally, is a signature. The Watermelon Polo Bowl blends El Jimador Reposado Tequila, Teakoe’s Watermelon Spearmint tea, McClary Bros. Watermelon Shrub, strawberry syrup and lime juice for a refreshing sip. Adult milkshakes, Old Man cans and solid draft beer complete the spirits menu.
